08-07-2020 Organizational Update to the Board

Last week, Superintendent Dr. Adam Clark introduced a weekly, “Organizational Update to the Board,” to ensure transparency and to improve district communications; this was received with much acclaim and will continue each week going forward. Find the 08-07-2020 Organizational Update to the Board, rich with updates from our department leaders, on the Superintendent’s Webpage.

Potential Door-to-Door Service: Interest Survey

Unique problems often require unique solutions. Our administrators in the Food and Nutrition Department and Transportation Department have been partnering with leadership from the Teamsters union about the potential for a new door-to-door distribution service during the 2020-21 distance learning period.

School bus drivers would be organized to safely distribute district meals and even school site or classroom materials directly to our families' homes.

As the conversation continues, the district is first looking to establish our community’s level of interest. To let us know, please take our Interest Survey as soon as possible: English  |  Spanish

2020 US Census – Chromebook Raffle (Monument Impact)

Our partners at Monument Impact are hosting a Chromebook giveaway for any family who completes the 2020 US Census and adds a photo comment to their Facebook page. Visit their page and enter for a chance to win—see the raffle details on the Monument Impact Facebook page: English  |  Spanish

The US Census is safe, secure, and confidential. It is not too late to be counted, and the questionnaire will take about 10 minutes to complete. Your information and privacy are protected—the information you share with the US Census Bureau cannot be used against you.

Your response helps to direct billions of dollars in federal funds to local communities for schools, roads, and other public services. Results from the 2020 Census will be used to determine the number of seats each state has in Congress and your political representation at all levels of government.

Board Meetings: We Value Your Input

Board meeting agendas and attachments are always available for public inspection, and in alignment with the Brown Act, our district posts each at least seventy two hours in advance (for regularly scheduled meetings). You can find the August 10, 2020 Board Meeting Agenda and all attachments here.

We value your input and we encourage public participation in meetings by way of public comment. The agenda header includes information about the live broadcast and the opportunities for public comments.
